The City of Medicine Hat and the Medicine Hat Police Service (“MHPS”) requires the provision of ancillary police services specifically to provide Specialized/Automated Traffic Enforcement (Photo Radar Enforcement), Detention Facility (cell) security (Cell Guard) and Parking Monitor for the City of Medicine Hat. Unless otherwise specified, as part of this project, any person who provides these services must be designated a Bylaw Officer or Community Peace Officer (“CPO”), as prescribed by the Alberta Solicitor General, and meet the security requirements of becoming such which will include a polygraph examination.
