The City of Medicine Hat is pleased to offer the rare opportunity for proponents to submit proposals with regard to the purchase or lease of the Monarch Theatre. The Monarch Theatre, a two-storey brick purpose-built structure designed in Streamline Moderne-style located at 609-613 2 Street SE, Medicine Hat, is the oldest still-operating movie theatre in Western Canada. The 110-year-old theatre is designated as a Municipal Historic Resource. The theatre can seat 402 patrons and can project a variety of digital media. Key deliverables and outcomes include a sale or lease. |
