The City of Medicine Hat, the Town of Redcliff, and Cypress County (hereinafter referred to as “the Region”) have a longstanding and collaborative emergency management relationship. Each municipality maintains its own Municipal Emergency Management Plan (MEMP) while sharing a single Regional Emergency Management Plan (REMP). The current REMP requires a major update and will be revised through funding provided by a recently awarded $125K provincial grant. The project team will consist of one representative from each municipality, with the City of Medicine Hat providing project management and administrative support. A detailed description of the required services is provided in the Scope of Work.
