With Unit 17 being added to the Unit 16 site at 5270 Box Springs Road NW an extension to the Cousins MHS16 Substation at site will be required. A substation construction contractor will be required for the following new component addtions. These includea a 13.8/69kV 45/60/75 MVA generator step up transformer, 4- 69kV circuit breakers, 69kV A-Frame receiving structure, 2 gantries, 69kV bus and equipment support structures, and a number of capacitive & inductive voltage transformers, surge arresters, disconnect switches and bus work.
